读者要记住，您并不一定要聘请移民代理或律师来为您代办签证申请，但假如您想聘请移民代理或律师，必须谨记要选择注册移民代理或专注于移民法律的律师。注册移民代理或律师必须密切关注和保持对相关法律及程序最新讯息和知识，只有注册移民代理或律师才能合法给您提供移民申请的协助、帮助你准备签证申请、给予签证申请人提供有关其移民申请的相关意见、帮助准备与签证申请人相关的担保资格的文件又或给予签证担保人意见。在法院或上诉审裁处（如行政上诉审裁处）中为诉讼做准备、或在诉讼中代表某人协助准备相关材料、向移民部长提出根据“移民法”对签证申请人行使某些权力的请求
但读者们必须知道没有任何注册移民代理或律师能够做出以下事项：
1.影响申请的结果；
2.加快案件处理周期；
3.保证签证成功。
笔者经常接见客户并回答他/她们的谘询，当然祇限于移民法律，原因是笔者祇专注移民法律范围，可以精准地给予正确的意见或者答案，而这种能力主要来自多年的实际经验及对移民法律的了解。
近年的文章中，笔者介绍了澳洲政府有打算特赦或者大赦已经生活在澳洲的逾期居留人士，很多謮者们看到文章的内容后，感到十分有兴趣，希望进一步了解情况。
另外笔者近期也介绍一些签证途径，目的主要是希望有类似背景的人们，提早作出准备又或者尽快找专业人士查询，可以更加深入了解，不要让机会白白流失；就好像1988年、1989年、1993年及2008年-2012年，当时的工党政府，特赦了数以万计的申请人。为了保障自身利益，读者们也可以在谘询时要求查看代理/律师其处理过的成功案例，肯定对方拥有十足经验。
在近期，我们也发现了移民部的一些错误审理，并且对申请人提出的要求不予理睬，比如延期体检（由于疫情原因），延期无犯罪纪录的提供，移民官直接没有理会就直接做出了决定，更加有些移民官再递交的当天或者第二天就做出决定。很多的决定也是一模一样的版本，这些问题对于申请人是不公平的，我们也相应的需要提起上诉程序或者需要再移民部内部做投诉。移民官的所谓行政错误就比比皆是了，写错年龄，写错签证到期日期，写错性别，这些如果是申请人的错误可能就是一个4020的提供虚假材料了。所以移民部的决定如果不服一定要采取行动。
笔者近日已经帮助了部分香港人取得合法签证留在澳洲，笔者亦有信心所处理的香港人客户最终可以取得永居身份。笔者希望所有来自香港的客户都能够像笔者一样在澳洲安居乐业，子女都能够健康成长，不会受到伤害。
