香港网民近日发现，苹果公司去年12月发布旗下产品iPhone和iPad软件更新最新版本16.2及13.1时，改用“腾讯安全浏览”检查香港用户浏览的网站安全性。这项发现引人关注资讯安全，也有网民忧心资料“被送中”。
“前线科技人员”FB专页日前发表文章指，有网民在Safari浏览软件开发平台gitlab.com时，被系统判定为正在浏览钓鱼网站，从而使其发现苹果公司上月13日发布旗下产品iPhone和iPad软件更新最新版本16.2及13.1时，更新了预载浏览器Safari条款，改用“腾讯安全浏览”检查香港用户浏览的网站安全性。此前这样的做法只适用于中国用户。
早在2019年，有人已发现苹果使用腾讯资料库检查哪些网站安不安全，但当时仅针对地区设定为中国大陆的用户。但苹果在今次的软件更新中，已将相关条款改成适用于中国或香港，因此将地区及语言设定为香港的用户，都须经过腾讯检测。
不过，不论Google或腾讯，都会记录用户的IP位址，只要有心人士知道IP位址，就会知道使用者的个人资料，例如姓名及地址等。已有网民讨论相关应对方法，例如：更改iPhone地区、改用其他浏览器、关闭Safari的“诈骗网站警告”功能，但须承担钓鱼网站的风险；也有人建议用VPN上网，就能遮盖IP位址。
