新春佳節本是闔家團圓的日子，但卻傳出多位參與”白紙運動”的示威者被消失、批捕的消息，不能與家人團圓。而這些這被逮捕的人士中，甚至還有沒有參與示威的民眾。
翟登蕊
大年初一，維權網公布稱，翟登蕊因白紙運動被羈押。據悉，，翟登蕊因為參與2022年11月27日在北京亮馬橋舉行的白紙行動，於2022年12月22日被北京警方抓捕。有消息指出，她已因涉嫌「尋釁滋事罪」批捕。
翟登蕊，甘肅白銀人，她是一名女權活動組織者。翟登蕊大學本科就讀社工，因為熱愛文學，本科畢業後又就讀於北外英美文學專業。
翟登蕊的母親是一位在一線協助抗疫的醫生，她沒有想過自己善良、熱情、勇敢的獨生女兒會失去自由，而她的姥姥已有86歲高齡，卻不能與晚輩一起過年。
李超然
和翟登蕊不同，李超然並沒有參與亮馬橋舉行的白紙行動，但她也自1月6日起失聯。
維權網稱，李超然，女，網名Cathy，95年出生，北師大本科、人大碩士，畢業後就職於北京一家金融機構。她是音樂劇資深愛好者，熱愛觀鳥和星空攝影，生活中除了愛好就是無盡加班。她並未參與2022年11月27日晚北京”亮馬橋”舉白紙行動，只是擔保了白紙運動一個青年釋放，自2023年1月6日起失聯至今，可能也被檢察院批捕。
李超然的朋友稱，李超然為人善良，她與「因參加白紙運動被抓捕的林倩」並不熟識，兩人相見也只有2至3次。林倩因為參與白紙運動被北京平谷派出所拘捕，後因其感染新冠，平谷派出所需要有人取保林倩，李超然處於同情和愛心，前往平谷派出所擔保林倩出來，並收留其在家中居住，直至林倩第二次被警方帶走。
隨後，李超也自1月6日起與親友失聯，維權網指出，李超然可能已遭批捕。
李元婧
2023年1月24日，維權網發布信息，向公眾介紹因參加「白紙抗議運動」被抓捕的李元婧女士。
通告稱，李元婧，女，1990年代出生，籍貫不詳，北京某跨國會計事務所會計師，網絡活躍人士，電報群群主，北京白紙運動參與者，中國在押政治犯。
李元婧自研究生畢業後，選擇在北京生活，並在北京市一跨國會計事務所當會計師；業餘時間，因熱愛交友而特意組建一電報群，讓興趣相投網友互通信息，發布、談論及分享海內外信息、觀念與看法，故而在朋友圈中擁有極好聲譽；但又因該電報群里有不少海外媒體網友，其言論、信息時有對中共當局不利的信息，因而群內信息常被當局網警想盡辦法予以突破和監控；
2022年11月24日，新疆烏魯木齊一棟大樓突發火災，因政府當時的過度防疫措施而致火災未能及時撲滅和救助，最終導致數十人死亡；消息一經傳出，世界各地華人群體，尤其是海外留學生群體及中國大陸各地民眾紛紛為死難者舉行悼念和抗議活動。
11月27日，其及多名群友與因在網上看到當晚在北京市朝陽區亮馬河將有為新疆死難同胞悼念的活動信息，遂與曹芷馨、翟登蕊等數名好友帶着蠟燭、鮮花以及寫了詩句的便簽與白紙，一起到亮馬河橋上參與了悼念活動。
孰料兩天之後，其等十數名青年人盡都被當地派出所警方帶走傳喚；後因其等在悼念活動中並未有出格舉動，因而一天之後盡被警方無罪釋放。
然而2022年12月18日，李元婧又被北京市朝陽區警方以涉嫌「聚眾擾亂社會秩序罪」秘密刑拘，另有8人亦在同天和之後幾天內紛紛被朝陽區警方以同罪由二次刑拘，自此全都失聯；
2023年1月20日獲悉，其與同是白紙抗議者的群友李思琪、曹芷馨、翟登蕊等共計9人被北京市朝陽區檢察院以涉嫌「尋釁滋事罪」正式批捕。目前被羈押於北京市朝陽區看守所。
二次抓捕
自由亞洲電台引述現居美國的人權工作者楊占青稱，據他所掌握的資訊，包括二度被抓捕前、發布視頻自白參與白紙運動初衷、表示「我們不想憑空被消失」的曹芷馨以及翟登蕊在內的9人，已因「尋釁滋事」的罪名遭批捕，另外，有十幾名亮馬橋白紙運動示威者已取保候審，被家人接回家過年，不過，確切獲釋者名單仍未知。
無國界記者組織譴責中國政府 呼籲放人
據自由亞洲電台報導，在這次中國當局的清算中，還有至少4位中國記者因報導「白紙運動」被抓捕，其中2位記者至今沒有獲釋。對此，國際非政府組織「無國界記者」（Reporters Without Borders）發表聲明，譴責中國政府。
報導引述無國界記者東亞辦事處執行長艾瑋昂（Cédric Alviani）表示：「北京當局逮捕與監禁4位中國記者，單純只因為他們出現在示威現場、想報道示威活動。北京的行為令人髮指，真實的訊息應該要被如實報導，儘管這些訊息與官方的立場不一致。我們呼籲中國政府，釋放兩位因為白紙運動仍被監禁的記者，以及其他被中國關押的記者，並呼籲檢方移除對這些記者的起訴。」
據報導，在上述的4位記者中，暫獲自由、獲得取保候審的記者分別是《新京報》的記者楊柳、及美國芝加哥大學東亞研究中心校友、曾在中國媒體《財新》任職的獨立記者秦梓奕。
截止到現在仍被關押的記者分別是，獨立記者李思琪、及《人物》雜誌記者王雪。
