澳门赌王何鸿燊26日在养和医院病逝，享年98岁，留下4妻17名子女，以及超过5000亿元港币的遗产，未来如何分配成焦点，二房女儿何超仪表示“谢谢大家关心，请给我们家人一些空间，家里的事需要时间处理，暂时无法对外说明太多，请见谅。”
何鸿燊自从2009年7月底于四房梁安琪住所不慎跌倒撞伤头部后，多年来一直频繁进出香港养和医院，更多次于病房度过新年及生日。
有报导指出，为让何鸿燊可接受最顶级治疗，何家人不惜成本聘请多位脑科专家及教授，每日医疗费达100万，保守估计医疗费已累计超过2亿港币。近日，何鸿燊的状况急转直下并处于弥留状态，家人纷纷赶到陪伴，于26日下午1时许在家人陪伴下病逝。
何鸿燊1921年在香港出生，祖籍广东。他家庭背景显赫，是香港商人何东爵士的侄孙，历经家道中落、苦读大学，最后抓住赌场产业蓬勃发展，逐渐打造出“澳门赌业王国”。旗下主要企业有：澳门博彩控股有限公司、香港新濠国际集团、香港信德集团有限公司、澳门国际机场专营公司、澳门诚兴银行等。因此别名“澳门赌王”。
何鸿燊病倒后，其财富主要由二房女儿何超琼、何猷龙，以及四房梁安琪分别掌管。根据福布斯2018年的统计，3人所持财富加起来有120亿美元。先前四房儿子何猷君就透露，何家财产分配早在2019年11月前就已分好，但细节并未对外公开。
何鸿燊与元配黎婉华在1942年结婚，后生下三女一男，但黎婉华中年后病魔缠身，于2004年离世。1957年何鸿燊以传宗接代为由，按照大清律例正式纳妾二房蓝琼璎，蓝琼璎经常随赌王参加慈善活动，1985年与儿子何猷龙移民加拿大，同时帮赌王打理生意，现居于加拿大。
三房陈婉珍原为黎婉华的护士，于1985年在黎婉华的撮合下，嫁给何鸿燊。现为安利管理有限公司主席，管理旗下地产、休闲、零售及运输等业务投资项目。在三房进门不久，何鸿燊与舞蹈老师梁安琪一舞定情，成为赌王舞伴，直到1998年才被公开正式承认两人关系，开始出席公开活动并协助管理赌王相关产业。
据路透社报导，何鸿燊的死讯传出后，何氏家族旗下企业的股价随即飙涨，其中澳门博彩控股涨了8.5%、信德集团有限公司（Shun Tak Holdings Limited）涨了17.6%，而新濠博亚博彩的股价也涨了4.9%。
