翟登蕊要错过deadline了。她本打算去挪威，在那个能看到极光的北欧国度，去奥斯陆大学深造戏剧教育。戏剧越来越多地作为一种连结社群、形塑认同和标识社会议题的手段，她感受到了那种力量的召唤。申请资料已经准备好，根据申请的timetable，她需要在2023年1月提交PTE考试成绩，这会增加成功几率。
1月19日，检方批准逮捕了9名亮马河抗议者，翟登蕊位列其中。这令她的亲人朋友措手不及。传说很多，譬如说，警方此前一直安抚家属，称翟的情节很轻微（去抗议现场没提前准备抗议物料），有很大几率取保候审。另一种说法是，本来警方的建议的批捕名单只有7人，没有翟登蕊和曹芷馨，但检方将这两人加了上去，9人的罪名都改为寻衅滋事。目前记者无法从更多来源核实这些消息。
直到确认批捕后，看守所才允许律师会见她，那时距离申请的deadline还有3天。亲人盘算着请律师问她要申请网站的账号密码，帮她提交材料，就算没有语言成绩，也不能轻易让她的梦想落空。
小太阳
不论怎样，熟悉她的人会有很长一段时间见不到这个黑黑瘦瘦、充满活力的女孩了。她的网名叫阿拉登，朋友们都叫她登登，有时她出现的时候，会哼唱着自己的专属BGM:“登登，登登，登登登~登登登”。
朋友们说，翟登蕊像个小太阳，她敢说敢做，不论在亲密关系还是公共场合，她都相当主动。
“登登才5岁时，就能泰然自若地在一大群人面前唱歌跳舞；中学的时候，她是乐团的指挥；大学时她当文艺部长；毕业后，她组织线下活动、参加读书观影会，别人让发言她总是抢在前面。她直率勇敢，敢于表达，也敢于质疑。她充满正义感，哪怕做核酸看到别人插队，都要去管，看到有小孩被欺负她，她才不管对方是谁，上去就要把小孩保护起来。”她的一位亲密朋友说。
2022年11月末，在亮马河边的抗议现场，翟登蕊也想努力地保护朋友。有人拿手机拍女孩们的脸，她去制止，还与不怀好意的拍摄者吵了起来。
助人者
1995年，翟登蕊出生在甘肃省白银市。她出生时就黑，自嘲笑起来像“忍者神龟”，有这样的自嘲精神，她是同学和老师的开心果。翟登蕊父亲经商，，她小时候家里就有钢琴，这在当年在白银市是少见的。她从小学琴，考到了钢琴十级。她母亲在当地医院工作，清零政策结束前得每天坐着三轮车去隔离点工作。她母亲是个热心肠，曾经在泳池边救活了溺水的小孩，上了当地的电视新闻。
翟登蕊是家里的独女。高考那年，她决定离开大西北的父母，尝试独立，最后考取了一所福建的高校。最初她听父母的意见选择医科，但被调剂到社会工作专业。这是个听起来不太好就业的专业，却给了她关注社会弱势群体的视角。
2017年，翟登蕊考取了北京外国语大学世界文学与比较文学专业的研究生，这延展了她对文学的爱好。她在北京的出租屋里有几百本书，涵盖女性主义、文化、电影、哲学和政治等领域，还有很多小说。
2020年从北外毕业的时候，当时疫情吃紧，很多同学们都无法来北京办理毕业手续，也没法收拾行李，翟登蕊是整个文学院留守到最后的毕业生，她一个人把几百名同学的行李打包寄走。老师曾经给她的父母打电话，夸她是学校的英雄。
助人对于翟登蕊，确实是“为乐”。大学期间，她还定期去养老院，参加敬老活动，养老院给她发过感谢信。
翟登蕊第一份工作在学而思。她对教育感兴趣，又希望加入互联网行业。然而，她加入的是幼小学科培训部门，“双减”之后这行成了禁区，她只好在集团内部转行当主播卖书。之前做学科培训的时候，翟登蕊收入不高，当了主播之后，因为有提成，她的收入提升，但她对传授知识的工作更有兴趣。辞职之后，她的工作大多与教培有关，决定留学之后，她转为兼职做家教。她申请的项目要在海外生活两年，就像她离开西北，去了南方又漂到北京一样，她一直向往更广阔的世界。
朋友圈
搬到北京后，翟登蕊在北京认识了一群志趣相投的朋友，有杨柳、秦梓奕、李元婧、李思琪等，这群朋友都在12月相继被拘捕，而李元婧和李思琪最后跟她一起被批捕。
这些女孩有着很多共同之处，热爱文艺，同情弱者。还有——如她的一位朋友所言——“对宏观叙事天生不感冒，但却文学和文艺有天然的热爱”。
她们关心农村妇女和城市女工。朋友说，去年初的丰县铁链女事件让翟登蕊几个晚上睡不好觉。虽然赚得并不多，但翟登蕊经常给女性权益公益组织捐款。
翟登蕊喜欢戏剧，她参演过朋友执导的短片，也出演过《阴道之道》和女工组织木兰花开的话剧《生育纪事》，她还参加过线上的电影评论学习班。
她喜欢去独立书店参加各种读书会和观影会。疫情这三年，当公共场所的聚会变少，她更努力地维持着与朋友们的见面和线下讨论。
社工专业的训练，让本来就开朗的翟登蕊对召集活动驾轻就熟。她常会组织十来个好友，相聚某位朋友的出租屋或者独立书店，开展一些女性主题的文学戏剧沙龙。电视剧《我的天才女友》火的时候，她就组织过讨论原著《那不勒斯三部曲》的读书会，而伊朗因玛莎·阿米尼之死而发生全国性抗议的那段时间，她组织朋友们观看有关伊朗女性的电影。很松散的朋友聚会，桌子上摆着可乐、雪碧或者辣子鸡，朋友们围坐在一起，先看电影，然后围绕电影内容讨论。
密友们有个微信群，成员只有个位数。她们在群里约饭聊天，在人生大事上互相陪伴。比如翟登蕊考试，就会有人在群里说“保佑我们登子今天顺利通过”;有人失恋了，就在群里约人去鼓楼逛逛散散心；有人过生日，就在群里约个地方搞生日party。
